standard weightage adopted for the regular courses in the syllabus. This practice specifically caters to the needs of good students - providing them the space of originality and creativity.
It is through this course that they are able to imbibe the value of intellectual property , ethics of publication, and get sensitized to all forms of plagiarism - overt or covert. Students who avail the Essay course at the Master’s level were clearly able to cut out a smooth transition to the next level of research ( the M.Phil and PhD programmes).
